Ní neart go cur le chéile agus ní thiocfadh linn mar Líonra Leitir Ceanainn ár gcuid oibre a chur chun tosaigh gan an tacaíocht iontach atá ar fáil ó lucht gnó an bhaile. Ó thosaigh muid ar an phlean teanga a chur i ngníomh cúig bliana ó shin tá méadú suntasach tagtha ar líon na Gaeilge atá le feiceáil thart faoin bhaile.

Everything works better with cooperation and we in Líonra Leitir Ceanainn couldn’t progress our work in promoting Irish without the great support of the business community in the town. Since we began the implementation of the official language plan five years ago there has been a substantial increase in the amount of Irish visible around the town.

Dé Máirt 23 Meán Fómhair beidh cúigear duine deag ag tabhairt faoi rang Gaeilge speisialta don lucht gnó. Tús luath don lá a bheas ann agus an rang ag tosú ar a 8 ar maidin i mbialann No9 Cearnóg an Mhargaidh.

On Tuesday 23 September fifteen people will be starting an Irish course developed specifically for business. It will be an early start to the day with the class starting at 8am in the lovely No9 Market Square restaurant.

Cláraigh anseo don Bhricfeasta Gnó a bheas againn Déardaoin 23 Deireadh Fómhair. Beidh Bríd Ní Chonghóile ó ‘Gaillimh le Gaeilge’ agus Joanna Ciezka a bhunaigh IrishSockSociety.com linn chun labhairt fá bhuntáistí na Gaeilge san earnáil ghnó. https://business.letterkennychamber.com/events/details/give-it-a-go-as-gaeilge-68?mc_cid=887e0e72fe&mc_eid=293d883991

Gabhann muid buíochas ar leith le Comhairle Contae Dhún na nGall agus leis na comhairleoirí uilig a thug tacaíocht dúinn fríd scéim an Chiste Tacaíochta. Mar gheall ar an chuidiú a fuair muid ón scéim seo chun costais reatha a íoc bhí muid in ann airgead a chur ar leataobh chun na tionscadail seo leis a lucht gnó a chur i ngníomh. Tá an obair seo le lucht gnó an bhaile riachtanach don phlean teanga agus tá muid buíoch den Chomhairle Contae as deis a thabhairt dúinn rudaí móra maithe macasamhail seo a dhéanamh.

We want to say a special thanks to Donegal County Council and to the Councillors who supported us through the Development Fund Initiative. Because of the help we got from this scheme to cover some of our running costs we were able to put some money aside to take on these projects with the business community. Such work, with business people around the town, is vital to the language plan and we are very grateful that the support of Donegal County Council has given us the opportunity to develop these important initiatives.
